Work Experience

At Ham Farm Festival
UPDATE - we have closed applications as we reached over 60 for each job and can't consider more. I am so sorry if you didn't manage to apply this year. Many thanks to all who did apply - we will be in touch before 8 June.

Ham Farm Festival employs local teenagers for paid work-experience. Past participants have found this scheme to be both fun and useful - learning new skills, meeting new people and getting some real work experience and references for their CVs. Outstanding participants may be invited to do further work throughout the year, and to work at future festivals, at the discretion of the Festival.

There are two different jobs on offer in 2025:

1) STEWARDING - 16-17 year olds - paid £7.55 per hour

This is a front-of house job, and includes welcoming the public, checking pre-paid tickets, selling tickets, answering questions, helping with parking and people-flow, selling drinks and/or merchandise, and generally being a positive representative for the Festival.
Successful candidates will need to be organised, reliable, trustworthy, positive, flexible, team-players, helpful and friendly. An interest in music is a big bonus.

To apply you need to be 16 or 17 on 24th July 2025, and you need to be entirely free from 25-27 July.

As this is a front-of-house, customer-facing job, we invite shortlisted candidates to an interview, before making a final selection.

2) FLYERING - 14-15 year olds - paid £6.60 per hour

This is a flexible job that can be done in evenings and weekends, at times that suit you, between 16 June and 18 July. It involves going from door to door, putting flyers through. You can choose how many hours you want to do, and work it around your schedule.  You need to be very organised, noting which streets have been done and reporting back to us regularly. Being local is a bonus, and being able to read a map is essential!

To apply you have to be 14 or 15 on 24th July 2025.
