Any Questions?
Is there a toilet? - Yes, there is an outside disabled toilet for the event
Is there parking? - A very very limited amount of disabled parking at the house will be available, make sure you email us and reserve this if needed. For everyone else, no, we are hoping you will walk, cycle or scoot. For those coming by car we suggest you park in the car park at the end of The Laurels, or behind the Tesco in Mangotsfield Village - the festival is a 5-10 minute walk from both of these places.
Will there be a drinks for sale? - Yes, for all our concerts there will be a bar serving wine, beer and a small selection of soft drinks, from the time the doors open. For the workshops, generally there is nothing else open at the same time - you'll be too busy doing things to want to go and get drinks!
Will there be food for sale? - In the daytimes, no. But for the evenings, YES! We have booked a caterer to come and sell food in the interval between the two evening concerts each night (from 6.30-7.30pm). A meal costs up to £10, and can be paid by cash (ideally, as it's faster) or credit card. See each evening's event listing to see what food will be on offer.
Can I bring food and drink? - Of course! You are welcome to bring your own picnic and drinks. Please bring cups, plates, whatever you need, and take it all away with you at the end (including rubbish).
Is there wheelchair access? - yes, please reserve the disabled parking space by emailing us. The route to the stage is bumpy but possible and there are no steps anywhere. If you need help there will be stewards to assist you. The toilet is disabled as well.
Can I sit anywhere? - yes, do move your seat to where you feel you get the best view.
Can we talk during performances? - It depends on the performance. The daytime concerts are drop-in and informal so some talking and moving around is fine (as long as you are respectful to the musicians and the other audience members). The evening concerts are professional groups, and people have paid for tickets, so please listen quietly. There are plenty of breaks and intervals for chatting, buying food and drinks, eating your picnics and walking around the garden.
What is the policy on children? - We have many events particularly aimed at children and families, and children are very much catered for in our daytime events. Our evening concerts are more traditional concerts, so please be considerate and only bring kids who'll enjoy those events.
What happens if it rains? - This year for the first time we have a marquee, so the concerts will be undercover although hopefully with the sides open and lots of nature all around. This means rain won't be a problem. If it's gorgeous and sunny we'll be able to have drinks and picnics in the orchard fully under the sky, and if not then we'll eat in the marquee as well.
I am a neighbour, should I worry about the noise? - All events will all finish at 9.30pm. Most groups would normally play accoustic (no amplification) but will need some amplification because of being outside. The speakers are discreet and will point back into our garden rather than out at neighbouring gardens. We have licensed this festival with South Gloucestershire Licensing, but if you have any concerns do please contact them, or us, to put your mind at rest.
