​Eleanor Grant & Gus McQuade

Eleanor Grant and Gus McQuade are two brilliant young musicians who present a fresh, exciting and highly original concert experience. Their duo of voice, guitar and double bass is both unique and extremely beautiful.

Eleanor and Gus formed their duo three years ago as second year undergraduates at the Royal Academy of Music. While working together, they became aware of a mutual passion for exploring multiple genres, from the Renaissance period to the present day, embracing folk and jazz influences.
Eleanor and  Gus have written many arrangements for their own special and unusual combination of instruments (guitar, double bass and voice). Their first performance together was at the Royal Academy of Music, where they presented songs by Dowland, and Eleanor’s arrangement of Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm. 

In 2023, Eleanor and Gus became holders of the Musicians Company’s prestigious New Elizabethan Award. They made their debut at the Wigmore Hall in February 2023 and will be recording their debut album with the independent record label Deux-Elles in summer 2024. 

This concert is presented in association with the International Guitar Foundation, for whom Eleanor and Gus are Young Artist Platform award winners.

Elkin Robinson

Elkin Robinson is a singer-songwriter, musician and producer from the Caribbean island Old Providence. He describes his music as “Caribbean Folk”, a sound that is born from the combination of different Caribbean rhythms and styles such as mento,
calypso, polka and folk.

The songs he composes are influenced by the culture, lifestyle and nature of his island. His music praises the sea, fishing, human relationships and elements of nature such as the sun. The lyrics are in his native tongue English Creole, a language born from the African diaspora in the Caribbean.

Robinson’s songs are characterized by their positivism and uplifting mood.

Elkin is an official ambassador for Colombian music worldwide, and has performed on the biggest stages in festivals in over 20 countries!

This evenings performances are ticketed as a single ticket - so a single ticket will cover you for both concerts.

6.30-7.30pm eat your picnics, or you can buy a wood-fired pizza. We also have a bar selling beers wine or soft drinks and ice creams.
7.30-9.30pm Elkin Robinson

Tickets cost £22 full price, £18 if you prefer, and Pay What You Can (above £10) if you need. Children and youths under 18 are free but still need to reserve a ticket for our numbers.
West Coast Pizza
​will be serving artisan, wood-fired pizzas in the break between these two concerts (6.30-7.30pm) for you to buy and enjoy in our gardens.

Pizzas will cost £10 (please bring cash if you can to speed up the ordering process), and the menu will be available to download here a few weeks beforehand.
