This is a special showing of This Little Bird, designed for adults and children with special needs and their family. The content will be similar to the family concert afterwards, but the numbers will be kept to under 25 to avoid crowds, and the pace might be slower, tailored to the audience and what they are enjoying.

Flautist and singer Emily Andrews and guitarist Francisco Correa, will perform a programme all about birds.... Big birds, small birds, birds that come out at night, or when its raining, and then we all do a ritual dance to call the mysterious Tico Tico bird...
Using flute/piccolo, panpipes, didgeridoo, voice and guitar, this is a varied concert with lots of interaction, movement and fun as well as some beautiful listening. Perfect for any age, with short, varied pieces of beautiful music and lots to listen out for, as well as storytelling -this show is sure to spark curiosity and passion for music, in an intimate, non-judgemental setting! |
FAQ
Who is this concert for?
This performance is aimed at people with Special educational needs and disabilities, and their families.
Do I need to sit still and/or be quiet?
Absolutely not! We want you to enjoy the concert however you want to. It's very relaxed and informal - you can sit at the front or back, or stand, or dance, or go further back among the trees if you prefer to listen from far away. There will be fidget toys on offer, and lots of interesting music and instruments to look at and listen to. It's a safe, non-judgemental space for you to experience and enjoy live music.
Food/Drinks
There will be a bar open, selling drinks and a selection of ice creams. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks or snacks if you prefer.
Can I park at the venue?
Anyone with a disability which means they can't walk can email us and reserve one of our disabled parking spaces. We only have maximum 3, so can't offer parking to anyone without a disability but we hope you can find parking nearby and walk, cycle or scoot to the concert.
Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?
Yes please! We are keeping the numbers very small for this SEND concert, so are sure it will sell out. We'd hate you to turn up to be turned away but also want to avoid a crowd, so please book in advance... Ticket link to come very shortly!
How much are tickets?
We want this event to be accessible and affordable for everyone. We also want to pay all our professional musicians properly. So we are doing the tickets on a "pay what you can" basis, with a minimum of £2 and a suggested amount of £5. Please do give more if you can as it helps support families who can't. Thank you!
