A musical experience with original fun songs, colourful junk drums and voice FX (fun voice effects) to raise a few smiles. As well as junk drums, two Soundbeams and Six switches will bring accessibility to the group. Everyone gets to either drum on the junk drums or bicycle wheel drums, or operate one of the 2 soundbeams or one of the 6 soundbeam switches to trigger sounds. Lots of variety, fun and a whole dynamic experience.
This relaxed and welcoming workshop is for people with autism and other special needs and disabilities of all ages, and their families/carers.
Tickets will be available to buy from mid April - so save the date and come back here. Or join our mailing list to be the first to hear!

"What does autism and SEND-friendly mean for a concert/workshop?"
In a word, non-judgemental. There is no expectation of how you should behave as an audience member/ participant, and no judgement. If you want to sing, sing. If you want to dance, dance. Nobody will mind if you make a noise, move around, come right up close (or stay far away). You can join in as much or as little as you want with the drumming and singing. There will be plenty of space to move, smaller numbers to avoid crowds, and minimal amplification (although we do suggest you bring your ear defenders if you like to wear them). If you need any help or we can improve your experience in any way, just tell us.
Food/Drinks
Please do feel free to bring drinks and snacks if you wish for before or during the concert. After the concert finishes the bar will be selling drinks and ice creams if you want to buy one and enjoy the grounds for a little longer.
Can we come if we don't have any special needs or disabilities?
We want to keep the numbers for this workshop as small as possible, to give the best experience to people who need this. Paul is running an earlier workshop for mainstream audiences, starting at 10.30am, where we can accept up to 50 participants, so we ask people who can to attend that one, and keep these spaces for those who need it.
Do I need to reserve a place in advance?
Yes definitely! Please use the ticket link at the top and bottom of this page.
How much are tickets?
We want this event to be accessible and affordable for everyone. We also want to pay all our professional musicians properly. So we are doing the tickets on a "pay what you can" basis, with a minimum of £3 and a suggested amount of £5. Please do pay more if you can as it helps support families who can't. Thank you!
